Scrabble Grand Finals (1st June 2012)

Dear ELS Members,

I have 2 announcements to make.

Firstly, this regards the Scrabble Grand Finals.

Venue: D'Marquee @ Downtown East.
Time: 8am to 5pm
Time to meet in school: 7am (Front Porch)
Attire: School Uniform
Things to bring: Pencil case, calculator and Student Identification Card (Ez-Link or IC)


Secondly, this is concerned on the sparring session with St. Nicholas this Wednesday.

The sparring session is cancelled as they would be busy packing and moving school site. However, there would still be CCA in school but not somewhere else.

Please note that Ms Nicole Lee will be organising the teams and registering for them.  The participation fees is $50.00 per team.  Debaters on the team should make sure that they will be available for both the prelims and the finals.

Sat (9/6/12): Youth Debate Open for all Sec 2 Debaters.

Dear ELS Members,

 I have 4 announcements.

Firstly, it concerns the Sec 2 debaters.

Please take note the Debate Motion has changed to, "THW Forcibly Denuke North Korea" as the Theme for the YDO is International Relations. The Prop and Opp remains the same. The debate would be held THIS FRIDAY, 18 May 2012. Please be prepared for it.

Secondly is regards to the ELS Camp, I strongly urge all of you to come if you have the time as this would be a time where we can be bonded as a CCA and enjoy the activities we have thoroughly planned out.

Thirdly, please remember to bring your $10 for the ELS fund.

Lastly, there would be CCA this friday, 18 May 2012 and is compulsory for all members.

Important Things To Note

Dear All ELS-Members, I hope that your exams went well and that you are resting well too. I have 3 announcements to make. 1 of which, does not involve everyone. Firstly, the results of the the National Scrabble Championship. I am pleased to inform you that B1, B2, C1 & C2 have made it into the finals, in other words, all teams made it. Secondly, there will be a meeting next week, 16th May 2012. Lastly, the announcement that does not involve everyone, the Youth Debate Opens. Below are the suggested grouping of the Youth Debate Open teams: Team 1 1) Choo Yu Hao, Mulder 2) Daniel Lopez Zhen Zhiqiang 3) Lo Yee Kai, Jeffrey Team 2 4) Kuan Liang Hui, Justin 5) Bryan Lim Mingzheng 6) Mak Qing Xiang Charles Team 3 7) Lim Jun Feng 8) Lin Ming Xuan 9) Goh Sheldon Hunter 10) Shaun Tan You have until the end of today, 12.00 midnight to do a mutual swap if you prefer to be in another team. The names will be submitted for registration tomorrow. Please send Miss Andrea Leng an email to inform her of the swap. Although the registration closes 1 June, there is a limited number of slots available and we have already delayed by more than a week because of the SA. We hope that there will still be space for all the teams.
