CCA Meeting (24/4/13)

Dear ELS Members,

Firstly, I would like to congratulate all team members of C-division Team 1 who have clinched 1st place in the Bowl category for the Scrabble competition.

Scrabblers, please note that there will be CCA as per normal tomorrow, including the Sec 4s.

Debaters, please note that there will also be CCA for you all tomorrow as well. There won't be any meeting on Friday due to Sports Day.

Camp attendees have yet to hand in their camp fees ($14) and Sec 4 Scrabblers who have yet to hand in their Scrabble training fees ($25), please do so by tomorrow.

Scrabble Finals (21/4/13)

Dear ELS Scrabble Finalists,

Please be reminded to report at the front porch tomorrow at 7.10am sharp. Mr.Vinod will be going with you all. There will be transport back to school after the competition. The venue is D'Marquee@Downtown East. You can choose to make your own way there and back home yourself if you live nearby, but you are to e-mail Mr.Vinod now and inform him tomorrow.

Note that all C-division reserves are to report tomorrow morning also. Team B2 would not need to go.

Additional Scrabble Training (19/4/13)

Dear ELS Scrabblers,

Please note that there will be a compulsory training tomorrow at 1.50pm. It is expected to end at about 3.30pm. For those who have attended the camp are to bring $14 tomorrow. Sec 4s who have yet to pay for their training fees of $25 are to give them to Willis tomorrow.

The competition will be this Sunday 21st April. Please report to the front porch by 7.10am. The competition is expected to end at around 5pm-6pm.

Scrabble Meeting (17/4/13)

Dear ELS Scrabblers,

Please note that there will be Scrabble training this Wednesday whether or not you qualify for the competition finals.

The results of the preliminary rounds for the competition will most likely to be released by tonight or tomorrow, so please check the blog for updates.

Also note that all attendees for our ELS March Camp are to bring $14 this Wednesday to pay for the camp. On top of that, as Sec 4s are stepping down at the end of term 2 and have attended half of the training, each of the Sec 4s are to bring $25 this Wednesday for payment. Camp fees are to be passed to Willis and Sheldon and Sec 4s Training Fees to Willis.

Scrabble Comp Training (12/4)

And also be reminded that you are to reach school by 7.10am this Saturday as the bus would leave around 7.15am. It is expected to end around 1pm.

Note that all reserves must go for the competition. Bring along your study materials to study.

Scrabble Comp Prelims

Dear ELS Scrabblers,

These are the details for the Scrabble Competition Preliminary Rounds :

Date : 13 April (This Saturday)
Venue : Queenstown Secondary (not Queensway)

You are to report at our school's front porch at 7.10am sharp. The bus will leave at 7.25am immediately. Note that this is only one-way transport, which means you will have to make your own way back from Queenstown Sec. Everyone is to wear their school uniform.

There will be compulsory training this Friday. Those who have NAPFA are to go for training afterwards. Try to take the first slot for NAPFA. You can explain to the teachers that you have competition tomorrow.

Please expect to be called to the front porch after morning assembly if there is an announcement. If there is no announcement, we will come to your class personally to inform you.

Also note that from now on, you will only be required to write 1000 words from the 4-letter word hooks per week, which would then be finished in 2 months or 3.

Lastly, Mr. Vinod wants to emphasize that you are to read the blog regularly (everyday). Please be reminded that the latest updates will usually be posted by 10pm before the next training and you will be notified on the Facebook group.
