Debate Training 30/10

To Debaters:

There will not be training on 30/10/2013. However Sec 3 members will be required to gather at Sec 4A  at 1.20pm for a short meeting. The meeting will not last longer than 10 minutes.

Scrabble Notice:

Dear Scrabblers,

There has been a slight change in the "C" division.Kianu is unable to make it for MIST therefore Julian will be assuming the "C" division team captaincy. Nicholas Hong will move up to become player 5.Nicholas Lee will become the reserve player for the division.In the event where Nicholas too is unable to make it,Arnold Lek will become the new reserve player.

*Please remember to inform(message) me at 96630297(preferred) or through the ELS Facebook group by tomorrow to confirm your attendance.It is compulsory for you to verify your attendance.

All reserves have to be present during the event therefore all reserves have to be present of the 26/10/2013.

Sorry for giving the wrong information regarding the intensive scrabble training dates.Please note that the actual date for this training session is on the 16,17,18 of October from 2.30-4.30pm.Therefore there will be no training on the 17th. However there will still be training on the 18th.

Notice:CCA Dates

Dear Scrabblers,

Training will resume on 4 September.Secondary 1s are required to know all of the 2 lettered words and ll of the 3 lettered words beginning with A(appendix 3). Secondary 2 members are also required to know all the 2 lettered words and 3 lettered words beginning with A and B.Secondary 3 will be supervising the tests(all 2 letters and 3 letter words A,B should be mastered by now)

Please also take note that there will be special intensive training on the 16,17,18 of September from 2.30pm-4.30pm.

CCA Notice

Dear Scrabblers,

There will be no CCA this Friday.Tests are on this Wednesday(5/8/2013)at the exam room at 1040.School dismissal time is 1030.Hence please be punctual.Upon finishing your test,you are free to leave.The following are the test requirements for Wednesday:

Secondary 1s - 2 Lettered Words(100%)

Secondary 2s - 2 Lettered Words(100%) and any 50 3 Lettered Scrabble words.

*Students who are able to do more than the required words will be awarded Bonus points.These points can be used for future tests(Points from this test will add to the test score to make up for the difference)

Attendance is compulsory

Anyone missing the test will have to makeup and will miss play time at the next training session.
Also members who have not paid the $50 training fees are to bring it on Wednesday.

Notice:Tracking of Scores/Test

Dear Scrabblers,

Please be informed that a new system has been implemented to track your weekly scores.Therefore for all future CCA scrabble training sessions,please write the full name of your opponent to ensure smooth recording of your scores.Also,there will be a test on the words coach Adrian taught us the previous session(sun-land etc.)+the 20 three letter words(AIA,ABO etc.)

Notice:Scrabble Training Dates

Dear Scrabblers,

Please take note of the following:

1.Starting from this Friday,there will be compulsory Scrabble training on Wednesdays and Fridays for all members except those who have valid reasons(tuition,sick,injury,etc.)

2.Members will have to follow the same standard operation procedure like today,for both(Wednesday,Friday)training sessions.

3.Coach Adrian will not be present on Fridays.Despite this,please still take the training session seriously(excessive noise is not tolerated)

4.Everyone has to have these software's(zyzzyva and quakle) installed in their personal mac-books by next Wednesday.Download links are of the following:

6.Tile checking is now a requirement for all our scrabble training sessions and no excuses will be accepted for those who fail to do so.

7.There will be a short test on Friday,it will consist of 20 three letter words.This is a reasonable task hence I expect all members to deliver results.For easy reference,these are the words that will be tested for Fridays test:

AAH,AAL,AAS,ABA,ABO,ABS,ABY,ACH,ADO,ADZ,AFF,AFT,AGA,AHA,AHI,AHS,AIA,AIL,AIN,AIT

Reminder:All members are required to write down all the words on the scoresheet upon making a move,this is to ensure that the amount of words tally with the score.

Dear Scrabblers,

Please be reminded to bring your scrabble notes and training fees($50) tomorrow.On another note,please ensure that you have memorised your satire+? stem.There will be a short test on Wednesday and all members are required a minimal of 90% or above for it to avoid being punished.
